Hello, Alex here.  I feel like i was groomed for success in the barber/tonsorial business. My mother Victoria Crystal is an Author, Salon Owner and Licensed Master Cosmetologist of over 20 years back in my hometown of DeFuniak Springs, Florida.

I have been cutting hair since i was 13 years old. (23 years of total experience) I started cutting hair in my mothers salon, and that is where my love for Barbering started. I have always been fascinated with art and detail.

But my love for Barbering was not stronger than my love for sports. I went to college in Atlanta, Ga and attended Morris Brown College on a full scholarship in 1991.  I had an outstanding career in college and recieved ALL-AMERICAN honors 3 times as a placekicker and punter in football.

I was ranked #1 in the country. Although I had an outstanding career in football, I would still continue to cut hair throughout college and continue to fine tune my barbering skills.  In 1996, I signed as a Free-Agent with the Philadelphia Eagles under coach Danny Smith and Ray Rhodes.

After being released after the 2nd preseason game,  I returned to Atlanta and took on several different jobs before finally focusing on Barbering full time. Since the Philadelphia Eagles, I have owned 2 Barbershops, built a successful clientele, and currently producing a line of instructional haircutting DVD’s, hair care products, clipper and trimmer solutions and i am currently a freelance barber and barber consultant.

Traveling the world teaching barbering classes is my passion.  I love to see the look in a barbers eyes once i have told him/her a secret that will take his business to the next level.

I have built several successful online business ventures.  2 of the most successful are and  I am currently mentoring barbers on how to grow there business on the Internet where over 3 billion searches are made everyday.

Here are a few places that i have worked:

My goal is to make each customer look and feel fantastic. I offer lots of services, like haircuts, executive haircut services and razor shaves, facials, coloring, and razor bump consultation.

I also offer beard and mustache trims, as well as information on rejuvenating hair treatments, hair loss treatments, natural hair growth remedies for stressed or damaged hair. Barber stylists are professionals who are always up-to-date on the latest styles and trends.

So I guess you could say that keeps me on the cutting edge! And so you can get that fresh-from-the-barbershop look every day, I also offer products. These products include, shampoo, black soaps, and styling aids that are specially formulated with all natural substances, which strengthens, smoothes, and adds shine to hair and skin.

Whether it’s with my barbering services or products, I will keep you looking good, and keep you feeling good about how affordable my services are! Come in and get your HOLLYWOOD haircut TODAY!

Hi Alex. I am trying to find a barber specific hair show. The only ones I find are cosmetology hair shows. Do you know of any? Is the Atlanta Hair Show just barbering? Thanks, Lori

    Hey Alex!
Why r u so far away?!? Lol…. I’m a feminine woman starting my natural journey again… And I want a tapered cut for my big chop…I’ve tried to describe it to multiple barbers, but they get it. Maybe I’m not saying it right… Please tell me how to explain the cut below to a barber. Can this cut be done with the hair a little longer?

Thanks in advance for your help/advice!!
I’m in Duval county by the way, so if you know any good barbers in my area, I’m open to those suggestions as well.
